PHOTOGRAPHY PROGRAM (Ages 12 to 15)
Intro to photography, light-newton, prism, lense, shadows, lines, portraits, textures, street photography, panning, stop motion, and “Depth of Field Depth”
DRAMA, BODY MOVEMENT & DANCE
(Group A: Ages 12 to 15, Group B: Ages 16 and up)
The program teaches rhythm, coordination, musicality and choreography. Participants are challenged to think on their feet while enjoying an energetic class. Participants will develop focus, strength, and agility while having fun. Participants will learn and develop communication skills, creative thinking, leadership, social skills, self confidence, and self-esteem. The program provides a non-judgemental and open space for participants to feel safe to express themselves, expand their horizons and embrace their creativity.
RECREATION & PERSONAL TRAINING
The goals of this program are to provide activities that are fun and entertaining, and to help develop appropriate social skills, build confidence, and move! Individuals in the Recreational Program will do cardio, stretching, calisthenics, obstacle courses, and social games.
The goal of the Water Adventure program is to provide individuals with a safe and positive environment to a variety of water-related activities. Shake-A-Leg will offer ACTIV participants guided sailing lessons, kayaks, and paddling. Shake-A-Leg is one of the most well-known adaptive sailing organizations in the world.
Inclusion program cultivating instrumental life skills through leisure activities for individuals of all abilities ages 12 to 27.
The ACTIV program was designed to create a social & inclusive environment that allows individuals of all abilities to engage in leisure activities.
The program is divided into two components:
Interest based activities:
Body movement, dance & drama
Recreation & Personal Trainer
Participants will engage in sailing, paddling, boat rides, and other water activities.
